Week 13: Glaciers, Paris and Sea Level

 What did you do in lab? 2. big questions  None listed in the textbook. 3. What did you learn in Thursday's discussion? - I was absent but these are the notes that I took on the slideshow and then I have a zoom with Ted on December 2nd which I will get more information. 4. Read the textbook: Done! 1. What did I learn from the textbook? Notes that I took from the chapter. 2. What was most helpful? I felt that all of the different groups giving presentations and being able to do specific research on agriculture which was my groups was very helpful. I liked being able to listen to all the different perspectives and then get more information that is well reounded after looking at even more. 3. What do you need more information on? Nothing at the moment. 4. Questions, comments or concerns? Not today.

What did you do in lab?  Lab activity: 1. What are the primary points in the video? Polar ice caps are melting leading to rising sea level which is ruining any coastal communities. Powerful and authority figures are distorting views for money. Additionally, it is rare to use wind and solar power and other sustainable practices which makes all of it more expensive to implement and purchase. 2. Major issues? So many people do not have power and have no access. The amount that carbon dioxide is emitted from beef and that the general public does not see this as an issue. Scientists are not able to predict the rate and it is happening faster than anyone could expect. The media does not portray true facts, it is very difficult to find real information about what the government is doing. 3. What questions do you want us to teach you? How can we make a difference with restraints of being a college student, with limited time and money? Expenses? Is clean energy really clean? How many countr...

 1. What did you do in lab today? 2. big questions  What is weather? Weather is happening now - it is how the Earth is processing different things like fronts. 3. What did you learn in Thursday's discussion? N/A we had an exam. 4. Read the textbook: Done! 1. What did I learn from the textbook? Notes that I took from the chapter! 2. What was most helpful? I really liked in lab being able to do our recall of the water cycle and what we did and did not remember. I also thought the activity relating to weather words was interesting - there are so many more words than I thought that my group mates and myself came up with! 3. What do you need more information on? Nothing at the moment. 4. Questions, comments or concerns? Not today.
